My 21st in Greece!

I am now 21 years of age :) Yay!

We are still on the island of Naxos. Once again we are right on the coast of the sea. Its beautiful and when we go back to the mainland i'm going to miss seeing the sea from the hotel and walking along the coast at night... Naxos is great because it is less touristy than any of the other cities that we have been to so far.

Yesterday, we went on a hike through the mountains. the hike was tough on some of group because the trail was overgrown and difficult at many spots. The hike took about 5 or 6 hours, and i dont know how far we went. But i definitely enjoyed; it the mountain scenery was beautiful and I liked the challenge of trekking through the woods. We ended at a village and enjoyed an awesome meal, where everything we ate came from the island.

For my birthday I was treated to some delicious desserts and assorted alcoholic beverages (though there was no thrill in buying any). I had a great time with the people who celebrated with me! They were very nice to make sure that I enjoyed my special day. I was also very happy to talk to lana on skype, though we've been corresponding talk to her face to face really made my day :) But the majority of the day didnt feel like my birthday. If I'd had the same day in Memphis it would have been one of my best birthdays, but because everyday here has been wonderful even yesterday had a feeling of normality hahaha, but it was great.

Tomorrow we are leaving Naxos on a boat to go back to Athens for one day and then continue are adventures across the mainland of Greece making stops at Delphi, Olympia, and Sparta. For those you that are sad that you could not partake in my 21st birthday celebration. You might be able to convince me to celebrate again when I get back :)
